Meet Steve, Senior Account Manager at OPPD 👋 After years of service at OPPD, Steve saw an opportunity to be his best self and transitioned into a senior account manager role six years ago. It is here he feels his area of expertise best benefits the company and allows him to interact with people, which he enjoys regularly. 🧡 Steve's typical day consists of supporting his assigned large customers especially when challenges, expansions and day-to-day operating questions arise. He and his fellow senior account managers provide a conduit for customers to interact with OPPD personnel. This support and high-level communication is monumental during storms considering how crucial these customers are to our service territory. 🤝 Additionally, his tight-knit team uses critical thinking and set processes to get jobs done. Operating this way allows for less reactive work, which helps to build relationships with customers and drives Steve's philosophy of treating every customer with respect.🧠 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲'𝘀 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲? Learn to be patient and understanding at the same time. You are a customer advocate and communication skills are essential so being articulate and detail-oriented is important. ✍️

OPPD representatives had a blast collaborating and networking at the #OmahaYP Summit organized by Omaha Young Professionals. As the largest young professionals’ conference in the country, it was a day filled with education, inspirational speakers and connecting with passionate individuals. 🧡 This event is another example of why we love to get out into our community (with our pseudo mascot The Great Illuminator in tow, of course).
