    Congratulations to our students from The University of Queensland Medical School - Ochsner Class of 2024, for an incredible Match Day on March 21! 🎉 This year, the UQ-Ochsner MD Program received a 97% match rate through the National Residency Match Program – exceeding the average national match rate of 93.5% for U.S. medical schools. This marks the thirteenth consecutive year that the UQ-Ochsner MD Program’s match rate has been 90% or above. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these doctors! “The incredible achievements of our students on Match Day highlights our unwavering commitment to academic excellence and our remarkable partnerships,” said Leonardo Seoane, MD, FACP, executive vice president and chief academic officer, Ochsner Health. The UQ-Ochsner MD Program is a unique four-year training, academic and clinical experience, which takes place across two continents. The first two years of medical school curriculum occur at The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, which is recognized as one of the top medical schools in the world.   • Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 4th Annual Health & Wellness Family Expo on March 8! Together with the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission and Pontchartrain Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, we welcomed 321 community members to a day full of health, wellness and connection. Attendees received health screenings, including blood pressure, cholesterol and pediatric hearing checks, and had access to vital services like dental care, vision testing and more. Ochsner Education Outreach also presented at the expo and was joined by OB/GYN Monique Hamilton, MD, to share more on Ochsner’s STEM Pathfinder program held at Ochsner Baptist. This free summer program opens doors to exciting health science careers for students entering 9th-11th grade in the fall. #OchsnerServes
