CEO @ Novellia | Accelerating innovation through unified health data

Today--Rare Disease Day--is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do at Novellia 💙 On this important day, we honor all the individuals and families navigating the complex journey of living with a rare disease. Your resilience inspires our mission every day. ✨✨ I'm deeply proud that Novellia recently initiated a custom digital registry with an extraordinary biopharma company focused on understanding the healthcare journey of people living with an ultra-rare disease. This collaboration exemplifies what's possible when we unite patients, data, and research in meaningful ways. For me, this work has deep roots. Novellia was born after watching my Tata (grandfather) lose his battle with cancer in just four months, his care fragmented by scattered health records. Many families touched by rare diseases face similar challenges - specialists who don't communicate, tests that get repeated, and crucial patterns that go unnoticed. Evidence generation teams in rare disease face a fundamental data problem that traditional approaches can't solve. Legacy real-world evidence platforms deliver datasets that are: ❌ massive and incomplete ❌ unfocused, requiring extensive filtering The results? Insufficient patient counts and incomplete journeys. This makes it even more challenging to bring life-changing therapies to those in need.  Novellia addresses these issues head-on by: ✅ building custom cohorts with complete longitudinal records across healthcare systems ✅ delivering precisely the data needed to understand rare disease progression, treatment effects, and outcomes And the difference is transformative. With Novellia, biopharma companies go from disconnected patient snapshots to comprehensive patient stories that can inform every phase of therapeutic development. While our free personal health record platform helps anyone organize their health history, we're especially driven to support those navigating chronic or life-threatening conditions who can use our technology to optimize their care. What makes this approach special? We're giving patients control of their complete health data while offering them the opportunity to anonymously contribute to scientific research - creating a powerful bridge between lived experience and medical discovery. 🤝 The rare disease community faces unique challenges - diagnostic odysseys often spanning years, care divided among multiple specialists, and critical research hampered by data limitations. By studying comprehensive, longitudinal health histories, researchers can finally uncover patterns and insights that may lead to better care approaches and potentially new treatments. I believe the path forward in rare disease research requires both patient empowerment and better data. Today and every day, the Novellia team is committed to advancing both. #RareDiseaseDay #HealthTechInnovation #DigitalHealth #TransformingHealthcare

Today, we’re sharing more details about our research study taking place at the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), supported by Daiichi Sankyo US. Initial results were presented at the 2024 #ASCO Quality Care Symposium, using Novellia's AI-enabled technology and personal health record platform to unlock insights about biomarker testing practices to inform patient care for non-small cell lung cancer. Read our press release at https://lnkd.in/eJuZWFDq This is an important milestone for Novellia and more importantly, for advanced lung cancer patients often diagnosed at later stages, since biomarker tests can help identify who might qualify for targeted cancer treatments. Thank you O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center and Daiichi Sankyo US for the shared commitment and the opportunity to contribute to improving outcomes.  #NSCLC #ASCO #biomarker #digitalhealth #AIinHealthcare #AI #CancerCare
