🚨 NEW PRODUCT ALERT 🚨 We're excited to share that the CRUK Lung Cancer Centre of Excellence at UCL has deposited 44 groundbreaking #TRACERx non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) PDX models with CancerTools.org (CancerToolsOrg) - https://lnkd.in/eZu9k-zu Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths, with intratumor heterogeneity posing a significant challenge to treatment. Patient-Derived Xenograft (PDX) models offer several key advantages over traditional models, including: ✅ Higher translatability due to better recapitulation of source patient intratumor heterogeneity and drug responses  ✅ Increased accuracy for disease modelling and preclinical in vivo studies    Our new NSCLC PDX models, developed from multiple regions of primary tumours from Lung #TRACERx study patients, were created by Dr Robert Hynds and Dr #DavidPearce at the UCL Cancer Institute. Anyone who's spent more than a minute with me in the office knows how deeply our flagship #TRACERx NSCLC study has embedded itself into my workstream! 🎉 Hence, my excitement to share that 44 TRACERx-derived PDX models are now available through CancerTools.org (CancerToolsOrg) - https://lnkd.in/eZu9k-zu The power of these TRACERx PDX models lies in their unique capability to: 1️⃣ provide true biological replicates for your research (matched models derived from multiple region within the same tumour of the same patient, factoring intra-tumour heterogeneity in sample collections); and are 2️⃣ backed by robust genetic insights including driver mutations on a per tumour basis (Figure in comments below from Hynds R.E. et al, Nature Comms) Incredible work by Dr Robert Hynds and Dr David Pearce at UCL Cancer Institute.

A recent study revealed that Vinmec Hospital has successfully established Vietnam’s first centralized HRD testing laboratory, passing all registered EMQN schemes. This milestone is powered by the AmoyDx HRD Focus Panel and our expert support services. Using the AmoyDx HRD Focus Panel, the laboratory analyzed 289 samples from high-grade serous ovarian cancer patients and identified 174 samples with HRR pathway defects out of which 42 samples were detected with a likely pathogenic variant .
