It was a beautiful gathering of leaders from across our system - students, faculty, classified professionals, administrators, presidents & trustees. During our program, we listened to stories of resilience and courageous leadership from #StateSenatorAishaWahab, #DrJenniferTaylorMendoza, #DrSeherAwan #ShawnaDark, and #Nicomendoza. They spoke of the critical importance of education to Women's empowerment, economic mobility & political participation. Our caucus was also given a Certificate of Commendation from #SantaClaraCounty Supervisor #SylviaArenas! Congratulations to #DrDianneVanHook, our 2025 Legacy Award honoree! Dr. Van Hook recently retired as Chancellor and CEO of the Santa Clarita Community College District/ #CollegeoftheCanyons. Under her dynamic and visionary leadership for over three decades, Dr. Van Hook achieved outstanding progress across multiple metrics, including increasing from a $8 million annual budget to $270 million, from 60 full-time faculty to more than 220, from 44 degree and certificate programs to 248, from 4,800 students per year to 33,481. She has also served with distinction on more than 38 state boards and has been presented with and received over 30 state, federal, and local awards for her leadership and innovation. Congratulations to #DulceDelgadillo, 2025 Rising Star Awardee! As Director for Data Analytics/Business Intelligence for NorthOrange Continuing Education, Director Delgadillo has been committed to advocating for and mentoring women across our system. She serves as co-Chair for #Vision2030 Noncredit Metrics Workgroup focused on Adult Learners.
