April 9, 2025 STAR Meeting Top Takeaways We know that there is going to be minimum $880 billion cut – there is nothing that is going to change that – but has not determined where the money is coming from yet. Medicaid will be impacted. However, we have an opportunity to help decrease the percentage of the $880 billion of budgetary cuts that will come from Medicaid. Advocacy from ASHA using the letters and personal stories about importance of Medicaid is being heard based on ongoing visits to capital hill and conversations advocates for the Association have had in face to face meetings with congressional aids and staffers.
