Brennan recently graduated from the University of Washington with an MS in Civil Engineering and has experience as a Field Assistant Hydrologist in Alaska. NHC's loves a good boomerang employee🪃 We're happy to welcome back Katie Owen, CSM to our Marketing team as our Marketing & Proposal Specialist in Sacramento. Katie was with NHC for a year before she embarked on a short hiatus and decided to return to our team. She will pick up right where she left off, supporting California's proposals and business development efforts as well as overseeing all internal and external communications for the branch. So glad to have you back Katie, and looking forward to all you'll accomplish in the near future!

🌊IT S OFFICIAL! The Coastal Communities Adaptation Toolkit for Canada has been announced by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan)! This $2.6M project will help accelerate adaptation of coastal communities by empowering them with the guidance and access to resources they need. The project will be led by Climate Risk Institute with co-leads DHI, CLIMAtlantic, and an amazing team of regional partners to tailor resources to community needs. Please join us in officially welcoming Luitzen-Jan Beiboer to NHC! Luitzen-Jan joins our North Vancouver office and will be the newest member of the coastal team. Luitzen-Jan completed a Master’s of Civil Engineering, and specialized in coastal engineering and fluid mechanics, from Delft University of Technology, Delft (The Netherlands). He also holds a Built Environment, track Civil Engineering, from Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen (The Netherlands) and completed an Erasmus Exchange in Software development in Finland. Likely the tallest person in the office. He enjoys a variety of activities, including cycling, skiing, ice speed skating, sailing, swimming, and field hockey. #nhcexcellence #nhcwater
