We are #hiring a HIPAA ADMINISTRATOR/PRIVACY OFFICER in Concord, New Hampshire. The primary responsibility of this role is the oversight and coordination of all ongoing activity related to the development, implementation and maintenance of The Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) policies and procedures covering the privacy of, and access to, patient health information in compliance with federal and state laws and the healthcare organization’s information privacy practices. Key functions include: 🔹 Provide development guidance and assist in the identification, implementation and maintenance of the organization’s information privacy policies and procedures in coordination with Department management and administration, the Chief Legal Officer and Chief Legal Counsel. 🔹 Establish and monitor a mechanism to track access to protected health information, within the purview of the organization and as required by law, and a process to allow qualified individuals to review or receive a report on such activity. 🔹 Ensure application of sanctions for failure to comply with privacy policies for all individuals in the organization’s workforce, extended workforce, and for all business associates, in cooperation with Human Resources, the Security Officer, and administration. The ideal applicant will have: 🔹 A JD from a recognized law school 🔹 Six years of experience in the practice of law, health administration or management, health information privacy or health records management. 🔹 Knowledge and experience in information privacy laws, access and release of information. In-depth knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security law and standards, be an active member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and in Good Standing prior to the start of employment. We extend our thanks and gratitude to Dr. Sarah Finne, who recently retired as the DHHS Dental Director. Dr. Finne was instrumental in standing up the NH Smiles Adult Dental Program and was recognized at yesterday’s Governor and Council meeting for her years of service to the Department and the State. Because of her incredible advocacy, Granite Staters covered by NH Medicaid have access to important dental services that contribute to their overall health. Ensure continuity of patient care services, identify and communicate clinical and administrative concerns, and initiate emergency protocols. 🌟 Maintaining a therapeutic environment around the clock is a priority, ensuring staff compliance with policies and standards. What we are looking for: ✅ Current licensed Registered Nurse in New Hampshire ✅ Current Certification in CPR ✅ Must be certified by the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying entity in Nursing Administration or a specialty consistent with the job accountabilities and appropriate to the institution or agency in which the vacancy exists. ✅ Five years' experience as a registered nurse in a health care facility or a related human service field working in the specialty area in which the vacancy exists.
