The FDA has granted De Novo authorization to Epiminder's Minder, an implantable continuous electroencephalogram monitoring system (iCEM), marking it as the first device of its kind approved in the U.S. for patients with epilepsy. A study published in JAMA Neurology revealed that the risk of developing Alzheimer disease was significantly lower in patients with type 2 diabetes on GLP-1RAs and SGLT2is rather than those on other glucose-lowering drugs.
