The National Safety Council, Nebraska (NSCN) began in 1924 as the Omaha Safety Council, founded by a group of businessmen who concluded that 75% of workplace accidents could be prevented. Today, NSCN is led by a volunteer board of directors and a staff comprised of highly trained industry leaders and expert instructors. Our unique mission is to promote safety and health by providing programs, resources, and education to reduce both the personal and economic loss associated with injuries, accidents, and health hazards. NSCN partners are businesses, schools, law enforcement, firefighters, hospitals, and Nebraska communities. Goodie bags & Helmets will be given away while supplies last. Thank you to Children's Nebraska for providing helmets for this event. There is no need to register for this FREE event! One of the greatest perks of being a NSCN member is that you get access to FREE classes each month! On March 27, we'll be holding our Personal Protective Equipment class - one of the many classes that are free to members. Learn the key elements of OSHA PPE regulation, types of PPE, and how to use them. Another FREE class for members is our Fall Hazard Awareness class on March 27. This course will go over the basic principles of fall protection per OSHA guidelines and will teach the use of standard forms of fall protection equipment and its limitations.
