Some great resources at the link below from IARD. #AlcoholAwarenessMonth.
At IARD, we work year-round to support global health goals by encouraging moderation, reducing harm and promoting informed choices about alcohol. This month, during Alcohol Awareness Month, we will be highlighting the many ways IARD and its members are working towards common health goals. From improving workplace wellbeing and preventing underage drinking, to supporting drink-driving prevention and advocating for balanced, science-based policies. Today, on World Health Day, we are reminded that public health is a shared responsibility. For those who choose to drink, doing so responsibly means knowing the risks, understanding the guidelines and always putting safety first. We also host a wide range of free resources to help individuals, employers and policymakers stay informed. In support of Alcohol Awareness Month, The West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration (WV ABCA) is pleased to announce that Wirt County High School is the third-place winner of the 12th annual NO School Spirits Public Service Announcement (PSA) contest. A total of 51 entries from 29 schools took part in the underage alcohol prevention and education program. Nearly 400 students created and submitted videos that address the dangers of underage drinking and drinking and driving. WV ABCA Commissioner Fred Wooton said, "Empowering our youth in this prevention program has proven to be highly effective. If this PSA saves just one life, it will all be well worth the effort. Our contest would not be possible without funding from State Farm®, National Alcohol Beverage Control Association (NABCA), and the West Virginia Governor's Highway Safety Program." Additional 2024-2025 winning schools: 1st Place ($5,000,00) - Point Pleasant High School, 2nd Place ($2,500.00) - Wheeling Central Catholic High School; 4th Place ($750.00) - Morgantown High School; and 5th Place ($750.00) - Robert L. Bland Middle School. https://lnkd.in/gFF7yTRy

NABCA's SVP of Trade Relations, David Jackson rubbing elbows with the Spirits Industry in the nation's capital last week! Fantastic view!
Another great week for Team Provi as we traveled to D.C. to connect with colleagues across the beverage alcohol industry at two standout events: NABCA's Annual Legal Symposium on Beverage Alcohol Law and Regulation and the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States Annual Conference. These gatherings are invaluable opportunities to collaborate, share ideas, and explore how B2B digital solutions - and other innovations - can help move our industry forward, together. Thanks to our industry peers and partners for the thoughtful dialogue. We look forward to continuing the work ahead.
