At Moore’s, our mission is simple: Build. Serve. Impact. That middle part—Serve on Purpose—is more than a phrase we slap on company trucks. It is our heart that this becomes a way of life for every Moore’s Partner. Last Friday, Jacob Roberts lived it out in a way we’ll never forget. On his way home from work, Jacob witnessed a horrific car accident. A vehicle lost control, flipped several times, and ejected the driver, Paul, from the car. Without hesitation, Jacob immediately pulled over, rushed to the scene, and stayed with Paul—offering help, comfort, and prayer until first responders arrived. But Jacob didn’t stop there. The accident weighed heavy on his heart all weekend. Through mutual connections, he was able to track down Paul. Paul wanted to meet him—and the two arranged for Jacob to visit him in the hospital. When they finally met, Paul was in tears. “I believe there’s a reason I’m still alive,” Paul said. “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you and God.” “That meant so much to me,” Jacob reflected. “I feel like I really served a purpose that day. I was a servant for God and I was a servant for Paul.” This is what it looks like to live out the Moore’s mission! Jacob saw a need and jumped in to help. We hope his story encourages and challenges you—be on the lookout for ways to meet needs.
