With hearts full of both gratitude and sorrow, we, the Missioners of Christ community, join the universal Church in mourning the passing of our beloved Holy Father, Pope Francis. His life of humble service, bold love for the poor, and unwavering commitment to the Gospel inspired our mission and ignited hearts around the world. May he rest in the peace of Christ whom he served so faithfully.

A Catholic Missionary Community
About us
Missioners of Christ is a Catholic Christian Community centered in prayer and united by covenant that evangelizes, disciples and sends forth youth and young adults on domestic and foreign missions to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ. Our “four pillars” shape the essence of our formation and spirituality; we are Eucharistic; understanding the Eucharist to be “the source and summit of Christian life” (CCC 1324), Charismatic; believing in and calling upon the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, which are “at the service of charity which builds up the Church” (CCC 2003), Marian; holding a special devotion to Our Lady, which is “intrinsic to Christian worship” (CCC 971), recognizing Mary as a “preeminent and… wholly unique member of the Church” (CCC 967), and Magisterial; being submitted to the teaching authority of the Catholic Church, whose “authority in this matter is exercised in the name of Jesus Christ” (CCC 85). Our Covenant defines our commitments to each other and collectively to God, in how we live out our daily experience as a Missioner. This Covenant serves as a general rule of life, which allows us to be in solidarity with the greater Missioner community, whether we are in proximity to other members or not. The Covenant also reinforces and emphasizes aspects of the Catholic Christian life which are already expectations of the Church for its faithful, such as frequenting the Sacraments, stewardship, prayer and fasting, and charity to one’s neighbor.

Every Catholic is encouraged by Vatican II teachings to be part of an apostolate. Catholics understand that all ministry is our sharing in Jesus’s divinity as a fruit of a Eucharistic lifestyle. Jesus is the Chief priest, prophet and king! Every baptized person shares in His ministry - like cells in His body - so His mission is fulfilled. Missioners understands this calling! They are a community of common apostles - people whom Jesus has sent on His mission - to accomplish part of Jesus’s ministry to save everyone who wants to be saved! If you are a young adult between 25-40 this is a great group to check out to see if you are being called into Jesus’s mission field with them!
"I was able to let go of so much pain and suffering." Brendan Hoffman found family in Honduras and encountered Jesus through his mission team and the people of the community where he served. Through this mission experience and the grace of God, Brendan let go and by embraced by the family of Christ! - Are you holding on to something? Do you need to let go and give it all to God? Easter is not just the celebration of Jesus rising from the dead—it’s also a call to mission. When Jesus appeared to His disciples after the Resurrection, He didn’t just bring peace; He gave them a task: “As the Father has sent me, so I send you” (John 20:21). The joy of Easter isn’t meant to be kept inside. It’s meant to be shared. We are all called to be missionary disciples—to carry the hope, love, and life of the Risen Christ to others. Whether that’s through kindness, forgiveness, or simply living our faith boldly, Easter gives us the power and the reason to go out and proclaim the Good News. Let’s live this Easter season with hearts on fire and feet ready to go, knowing that Jesus is alive—and that changes everything. In the joy of the Resurrection, The Missioners of Christ Family

Throughout this past month, our missionaries have seen so much growth in the ministries that are being carried out in Honduras. The young girls and boys from the neighborhood have been spending time in fraternity with the missionaries and learning about Lent. - Check out more of the ministries of the Missioners of Christ here! https://lnkd.in/eHbGM6Aa

During this season of Lent, the scholarship kids went out with the missionaries to do home visits. Some of the kids read the Gospel of the Day, while others led the Divine Mercy Chaplet and prayed for the families. The purpose of these visits was for the kids to gain more confidence in sharing about Jesus and to learn the importance of visiting our brothers and sisters in Christ. See more about our scholarship program below. https://lnkd.in/e6sT2T6c

In Honduras, Father's Day is celebrated on March 19th which is the feast of Saint Joseph. For the March monthly meeting, the fathers in the Santa Margarita program went out for coffee with a fellow priest friend. A medical team also came through in March to visit and help out some of the patients. - Check out the Santa Margarita physical therapy center here: https://lnkd.in/eQ24xfwS Myrna L.
