One of the biggest challenges with the PUMP Act and business travel is ensuring lactation accommodations at unpredictable locations. Employers can support breastfeeding employees on the road by assisting with: • Planning routes and stops that include known lactation-friendly spaces. • Confirm that hotels or conference centers offer private, non-bathroom spaces or even better, Mamava pods. • Providing scheduled break time for parents to pump. • Figuring out CDC-approved cold storage for pumped breast milk. • Covering the cost of shipping or traveling with breast milk home. If this sounds like a lot to plan, it's because it is. But pumping parents have to juggle these logistics everyday—with or without employer support. Proactively tackling these challenges can make a world of difference in employee satisfaction and legal compliance. #PUMPAct #EmployeeBenefits

If you’re an employee benefits broker, your clients might not realize that the #PUMPAct covers business travel too. Educate them on what this means: • Employers must provide break times and private spaces—not a bathroom—even when employees are on the road. • Hotels and venues may need to be vetted to ensure they meet accommodation requirements. Staying informed keeps your clients compliant and strengthens your role as their trusted expert. #EmployeeBenefits #Compliance #Brokers

Did you know? The PUMP Act doesn’t stop at the office door—it applies to business travel too. Yet many employers and brokers are still missing this critical detail. Employers, remember to think beyond the office. Business travel requires planning for private, non-bathroom spaces to pump wherever breastfeeding employees go. So whether it’s a hotel, a conference center, or a client offsite, be ready to provide lactation accommodations. Be proactive. Stay compliant. Support your workforce, no matter where the job takes them. #Compliance #PUMPAct

Did you know that the PUMP Act applies to business travel? Many companies don’t. Breastfeeding employees are legally entitled to break time and a private, non-bathroom space to pump—even when traveling for work. Yet, many struggle to find appropriate accommodations at conferences, offsite meetings, and client locations. Need help navigating these requirements? Let's talk https://buff.ly/wOFRvj1 #PUMPAct #HRCompliance #BusinessTravel #LactationRights #EmployeeSupport

If you’re a #breastfeeding mom traveling for work this conference season, the PUMP Act protects your right to pump on the road—just like in the office. Here’s what you’re entitled to: ✔️ Break Time – You must be given reasonable breaks to pump as needed. Your employer cannot deny you this time. ✔️ Private Space (Not a Bathroom) – Your employer must ensure you have access to a private, non-bathroom space to pump. If you’re in a hotel, conference center, or client site, they should help arrange accommodations. ✔️ Planning ahead can make all the difference. That’s why we teamed up with Parento on Mastering Travel and Breastfeeding for Working Parents —a toolkit designed to simplify traveling while breastfeeding whether you’re heading out for a business trip, attending a conference, or simply traveling while on leave. The PUMP Act covers work travel too—not just #RTO. There’s one key detail that’s often overlooked by employers: The PUMP Act also applies to work travel, not just return-to-office policies. The #PUMPAct requires employers to provide reasonable break time and a private, non-bathroom space for nursing employees to pump. This applies whether an employee is in the office, working remotely, or traveling for work. So what does this mean in practice? 1. Employers must ensure traveling employees have access to a compliant lactation space—this could mean partnering with hotels, clients, or conference venues. 2. Employees should not be expected to pump in bathrooms, cars, or other unsuitable locations. 3. Travel schedules should allow for pumping breaks without penalty. If your company has a travel policy, it needs to align with the PUMP Act’s protections. Learn more

DEI budgets are shrinking—but inclusion is built on actions, not programs. Many companies are cutting #DEI initiatives. But an inclusive workplace isn’t about programs—it’s about policies and daily practices that support all employees. Lactation accommodations aren’t just a compliance issue; they are a direct reflection of a company’s commitment to inclusion. • Are breastfeeding employees given the time and space they need? • Do managers understand their legal obligations under the PUMP Act? • Does your company actively support working parents beyond compliance? • Companies that prioritize real, structural inclusivity will retain top talent and foster a culture where employees feel valued. Make sure your policies reflect your commitment. Download our guide "RTO and the Pump Act: What You Need to Know in 2025" https://buff.ly/tDUWhwn #breastfeedingsupport #PUMPAct #RTO

One year ago today, I came back to work from maternity leave with this little 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘬, and it has truly been an 𝘦𝘨𝘨-𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵 year! 🐔🐥 I had the opportunity to join Vital Farms in November of 2024, knowing that in 4 short weeks I would be going out on maternity leave 🐣 It was truly the most welcoming and wonderful onboarding experience with an organization I have ever had, and I have felt supported and welcomed through every phase of motherhood. From a generous maternity leave, a beautiful and ever so comfortable mother's room, the ability to use services like Milk Stork when traveling, family centric celebrations and so many other great things, Vital Farms goes above and beyond to help make being a working parent that much less stressful! So, thank you Vital Farms, for making this organization such a friendly place for parents to work. I am truly grateful for the support and am 𝘦𝘨𝘨-𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 to see what is next! 🥚 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼, 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴!! Want to figure out how family friendly this place is for yourself?
