The first professional engineering (PE) license was granted over 115 years ago! Since then, the qualifications to become a licensed PE have evolved, and engineers must complete a four-year degree in engineering, pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, accumulate four years of engineering experience under the supervision of a licensed PE, and pass the Principles and Practice of Engineering exam. Achieving a PE title has become a hallmark of public safety, ethics, and quality assurance for engineers, firms, and clients. #FunFactFriday #EngineeringFacts #PE
