Hear leaders from J.Crew and Visa share how they're committed to supporting 🚺 through every life stage—including the up to 10 YEARS they can spend in the menopause transition. • Periods during perimenopause can be as erratic as the weather in April. 🌧️ ☀️ ⛅ 🌪️ 🌦️ At a minimum, that’s annoying. But it can also have two very profound effects on women: 1) Related symptoms such as cramping, headaches, and mood changes can be especially unpredictable and, in some cases, more frequent and/or significant. 2) The “who knows what today will bring” nature of it all can make women feel like they can no longer trust their own bodies, adding to stress and anxiety. Perimenopause—which can start as early as age 35 and last 10 years—isn’t just a time of potential inconveniences. It’s a time when women need care that is mindful of their unique experiences and the impact they have on mind and body. #perimenopause #MidiHealth

A new report highlights Reddit usage trends among women—and they come as no surprise to us. Women continue to feel unheard or insufficiently helped by their healthcare providers. In the case of perimenopause and menopause, this is often because most practitioners lack training in the hormonal changes of midlife. So, women are looking for information and solutions elsewhere—and some are turning to peers on social media. We 🩷 women helping women—and the support they can offer one another is invaluable. But when it comes to safe and effective medical guidance based on her specific needs and health history, a woman needs advice from a clinical expert. Midi clinicians are here to provide both.
