After more than a century of providing spiritual guidance on campus and 80 years in their former home, the Wesley Foundation at Purdue is turning the page. We were honored to join in a symbolic ground raking ceremony — using rakes and the very soil that has supported generations of students — as we begin construction on their new 22,600 square-foot, four-story multi-use building. The new space will house 32 residents and provide updated worship areas, campus ministry offices, and a commercial kitchen and dining space to continue their beloved tradition: the Pancake Social. We’re excited to celebrate the official opening of Village of Merici’s Brunette Building! Some projects have a way of reminding us why the work we do matters, and this was definitely one of them. From the start, we wanted to help create a welcoming home where adults with special needs could live independently. We worked hard to make sure the building had all the right features to make it accessible while keeping its historic charm. What made this project even more special was getting to share the journey with future residents and seeing their excitement as they toured the job site. It’s been amazing working alongside our partners to make sure this place truly feels like home for such a special group of people. And for all of us at Meyer Najem, it’s even more meaningful knowing that one of our own—Katelyn Colclazier—had a personal connection to one of the new residents, Nick Shewman. We’re so proud to be part of something that will positively impact so many lives. And we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support from our partners: The National Bank of Indianapolis, TECHLITE Corporation, and the @cityoflawrencei . Westfield Washington Schools hosted the 2025 Lego Builders Competition, where 4th-grade students from six elementary schools collaborated to design a house floor plan in one hour using identical Lego sets. Teams then presented their designs to judges, including Jonathan Haggarty and Colin Schermann from Meyer Najem, both of whom have children at WWS. Twelve judges scored the teams in pairs, leading to awards based on their results.

We love inspiring the next generation of builders! Huge thanks to our amazing partners at Lebanon Schools and Harney Elementary for letting us be part of their 5th grade STEM classrooms. And thanks to Justin Bowling recently shared his passion for construction, challenging students to build bridges using toothpicks, wood glue, and fishing line to see which holds the most weight. We’re excited to see what these creative minds come up with! Our Southeast team enjoyed attending the Targeting Hope Annual Clay Shoot, which supported the HCA Healthcare Hope Fund. This fund provides grants to HCA Healthcare colleagues and their families facing financial hardships. Thank you, HCA Florida Healthcare, for hosting such a wonderful event!
