Big milestone for the Meow Wolf multiverse — Confessions of a Taver, our first digital comic, just dropped its second episode. This marks an exciting step in expanding Meow Wolf storytelling beyond our exhibitions, and it’s looking incredible. Congrats to the Meow Wolf team that brought it to life: James Stephenson, Devon Giehl, Steve Borst, Luke Dorman, Katherine L., and Nikki Tucker with contributions from Michael Wilson, Julianne Aguilar, Marley Prudeaux, and Mady Preece. Featuring art from Sam Teccetta, Justin Couch, Kate Major, Cole Wilson, Aubrey Schwartz, Pip N Pop, Fluff Faun, Anna Moore, and Chris Hilson. A true cross-team effort — and it shows. This episode also features a collaboration with artist Eduardo Francisco de Jesus, known in comic circles for his expressively experimental series Blink on Tapas — a brilliant exploration of vertical scroll storytelling. 👉 Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/ggM7ndX3 And stay tuned… this is just the beginning.

CNET’s Tech Therapy podcast has a great convo about AI, Meow Wolf New York, and the art of striking the perfect balance of interactivity. How do immersive attractions like Meow Wolf offer depth of experience without overwhelming guests? It’s a thoughtful question for anyone working in the immersive space, and something we think about often. The Meow Wolf talk starts around the 25-minute mark. Thanks to Scott Stein and Bridget Carey for always furthering the conversation! https://lnkd.in/df5phvnx

Last week, we announced we're opening our seventh permanent exhibition in NYC. Here's what people are saying about it. “Everything you thought about immersive exhibits will be upended with Meow Wolf.” - Shaye Weaver of Time Out New York “Over the past decade, it has transformed into one of the largest immersive art companies in the world.” - Zachary Small of The New York Times “Imagine if Sleep No More and an escape room had a supernova and turned into an interdimensional rave.” - Scott Stein of CNET “Nearly a decade out from opening the House of Eternal Return, it’s become clear that the desire for live art installations is more than a passing fad—and fans can expect Meow Wolf New York to push the boundaries of wacky world-building even further.” - Grace Snelling of Fast Company “The exhibitions exist at the intersection of an art museum, an interactive theater production, and a theme park, with high-tech light, sound, and video melding with painting and sculpture for an immersive storytelling experience.” - Sarah Cascone of artnet “Think of an immersive play on Sleep No More but with original stories, really zany art, washing machine slides, and disco kitchens.” - Nadia Chaudhury of Eater New York “As well as being the most outrageous Meow Wolf ever, the new experience will also bring something different and ‘distinctly New York’.” - Anna Solomon of Wallpaper* Make sure to sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know about new developments! https://lnkd.in/gak4Q_vt

Thanks to everyone who joined Meow Wolf at SXSW for three packed panels—including an unhinged, performance-art-style NYC announcement live on stage during our Dadaism panel. We delved into the power of absurdity, the intersection of art and science, and the legal future of immersive art. Here’s what people had to say in their reviews: 💡 “The only sane response to insanity is insanity.” - Olivia Wedderburn 🔥 “You can’t buy attention anymore. The riskiest thing is spending millions to put boring stuff out there.” - Daniel Murphy of Liquid Death quoted by Julie Germany 🤯 “Would 10/10 tattoo that on my hairy back.” - Ricardo Distefano Law.com covered Breanna Contreras and Benjamin Allison's panel, emphasizing the growing legal challenges in immersive spaces. Read here: https://lnkd.in/gXzdFJPb And yes, we announced our next location in NYC mid-panel, after the Experience Tube demonstration and the box jumping, of course. Meow Wolf at #SXSW = Pure chaos, pure strategy, pure magic.
