Veterans Memorial Park, established in 1976 to mark the Bicentennial of the Declaration of Independence, was enhanced as part of SUNY Niagara’s commitment to supporting veterans. Check out the behind-the-scenes of the new renovations to the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo! This project involves upgrades to the HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems, protecting a portion of the hospital to ensure a clean, efficient, and safe environment for sterilizing surgical instruments. The SPD plays a crucial role in ensuring patient safety by providing sterilized tools for surgeries, reducing the risk of infections and preventing surgical delays.
