McGaw YMCA’s African American Employee Resource Group, led by Lavonia, Sean, and Onam (not pictured), hosted incredible events celebrating Black culture and community - swipe through to check it out! Staff enjoyed a hands-on pizza-making class with Eric from our Resident Services team, whose passion for pizza—rooted in childhood memories with his dad—shined through as he shared expert tips on ingredients, dough kneading, and tools. MetaMedia staff also led inspiring poetry workshops throughout the month, highlighting powerful Black voices and encouraging staff to write odes to things or people they love. It was a month filled with learning, connection, and creativity. Thank you to everyone who participated and made these events so special!
