Why I give: Q&A with Griffin Mason  As the Marine Maintenance Director at MPC in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, I proudly support the United Way of Northeast KY and Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) KY. Serving on their boards and participating in community events, fundraisers, and career fairs, I see firsthand the impact we make. Nearly two dozen employees and interns from our Garyville refinery recently spent a day bringing stories to life for every Head Start and Universal Pre-K class in the St. John the Baptist Parish Public School system. Spreading out across five elementary schools, our volunteers joined in the district’s annual Read Across America celebration. They inspired little learners to fall in love with reading one book, one rhyme and one fun-filled story at a time. “Hats off to our guest readers from Marathon Petroleum’s Garyville refinery for joining us in our Read Across America celebration,” said Melissa Watson, Director of St. John the Baptist Parish Early Childhood Program and Head Start. “Thank you for captivating our preschoolers and supporting our literacy initiatives!” 📚 #ReadAcrossAmerica #MPCgives #MarathonPetroleum
