#TBT to this year’s National AfterSchool Association (NAA)'s convention, when we had the pleasure of passing the baton to the Alaska Afterschool Network (AKA) during a presentation about micro-credentials. For the last five years, AKA has been the leader in receiving STEM micro-credentials, and have embedded ACRES into their entire AmeriCorps program, particularly in onboarding new volunteers! Happy #AfterschoolProfessionalsAppreciationWeek! https://lnkd.in/eV5pQEiT

In honor of #AfterschoolProfessionalsAppreciationWeek (APAW), we’re celebrating our partners at Illinois Afterschool Network (IAN)! Over the last 5 years, IAN offered free coaching to afterschool educators who wanted to hone their STEM facilitation skills, and worked with Afterschool Coaching for Reflective Educators in STEM (ACRES) to train afterschool leaders as coaches. And NEW as of this year, they’re providing ACRES coaching in Spanish! https://lnkd.in/eGvr93HG

We’re proud to lead programs like ACRES (Afterschool Coaching for Reflective Educators in STEM) that support educators in creating powerful, youth-led STEM learning experiences. That’s why we’re thrilled to share that this work is being nationally celebrated: ACRES has received an award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to be part of NSF’s 75th birthday celebration on May 10, 2025! 🎂 🎉 ACRES will support 13 sites nationwide to offer NSF STEM Day events for families. These events will showcase how federal investments in informal STEM education create powerful impacts for kids and their families. #NSF75 #STEMDay2025 #AfterschoolSTEM #ACRESProject #CommunityCelebration
