Updates

  • We’re closely monitoring the forecast and the extended heavy rainfall across our service area. In areas prone to flooding and where water levels may be rapidly rising, we may need to temporarily disrupt service for customers out of an abundance of caution. Keeping our customers and everyone in the area safe is our priority. We understand being without power or natural gas for any amount of time is inconvenient, and we appreciate our customers’ patience if we need to take these measures in their area. We will restore customers’ electric and natural gas services safely and as quickly as possible once waters have receded, and it’s safe to access the area. Crews will be staged and ready to respond. For more important flood safety information, visit lge-ku.com/safety/flooding.

  • Strong to severe thunderstorms remain in the forecast for much of Kentucky through Sunday. Ongoing heavy rainfall is beginning to cause flooding in parts of the state with several more inches of rain expected in the days ahead. We are ready to respond to any impacts to our systems, however flooded roadways and dangerous conditions could delay our ability to reach affected areas. Don’t wait for the floodwaters to rise. Make a plan now. Always be sure to follow these tips and visit lge-ku.com/safety/flooding for more important safety information.
