At Island, we pride ourselves on knowing our customers inside out. Especially since we’re one of them. Most companies are on the outside looking in on their own product, hoping whatever customer feedback they get can paint the picture of what makes their technology so impactful (and what needs improvement). We don’t have that problem. The Enterprise Browser is our daily workspace. We use it every bit as much as our customers do. And we feel its impact just the same. Each and every day, we use Island to: 👉 Maintain compliance in realtime, across all teams, systems and devices. 👉 Use AI freely and safely, to enhance everything we do. 👉 See, track, and control access to shadow IT. And maybe most importantly - 👉 Lead by example, showing our own customers how simple, smooth, and secure work can be on the workspace designed for work. In this blog, we share a behind-the-scenes look into the many ways Island uses Island. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gvC__MX6

Our latest engineering blog is live.👇 What if your testing infrastructure could actually accelerate innovation instead of just preventing bugs? Building the browser designed for work is a project of massive scope and complexity. One of the biggest challenges that come with that is ensuring Island’s stability across six platforms: Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and a standalone browser extension. With no standard playbook for testing in this space, our team faced flaky tests, lengthy CI/CD bottlenecks, and the demands of a 150+ developer workforce. We knew traditional testing approaches wouldn’t cut it, so we built a solution from the ground up that would help us keep pace with rapid innovation. In our latest engineering blog, Our Developer Experience Software Engineer, Igal K., dives into how his team designed and scaled Jarvis – a custom E2E testing service – to solve these issues. The result? Faster merges, happier developers, and a future-proof testing infrastructure that scales with our growing Enterprise Browser. The browser is where all your sensitive data lives. So why wait until that data leaves the browser to protect it? In a recent VMblog podcast recorded at IGEL Technology Now & Next 2025, our Field CTO Jason Trunk breaks down how the Enterprise Browser changes the security game for IT professionals responsible for keeping sensitive data protected. Traditional DLP only kicks in once the data exits the browser or enters the network. But browser-native security protects the data where it is, giving you way more control over where it goes and how it’s used. Which means it stays safe without getting in the way of work. Here’s Jason explaining this subtle but crucial difference, and a real world example of granular data protections in action, on the Enterprise Browser. Check out the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/gzqsGCdQ

Are we sure continuing to rely on SASE is the right move in 2025? Like 100% sure?  If you’ll be at RSA Conference in two weeks, we’ll be sharing the other side of the story. Join Island’s Bradon Rogers, Appgate’s Arlette Hart (VP Threat Advisory Services) and Jim Anthony (SVP Field Engineering) for a session on why it might be time to break free from SASE limitations. They'll talk about combining enterprise security with ZTNA, weighing SASE’s real-world pros and cons, common myths that need busting, and why choosing a best-of-breed experience, like the Enterprise Browser, might be where the industry is headed. Also stop by our booth for a drink and a demo. It’ll be fun. See you at #RSAC2025.

Proud to be named a finalist in the 2025 SC Awards for Best Insider Threat Solution, recognized for making work safer without getting in the way of how people actually work. Insider threats aren’t always shadowy villains or hooded hackers. Usually, they're innocent humans making human mistakes - like accidentally sharing sensitive data, misconfiguring access permissions, or clicking on a well-disguised malicious link. The Enterprise Browser fundamentally protects organizations from these very types of everyday slip-ups by building granular data protections, access controls, and advanced security into the workspace itself. Which means the work is safe, without security getting in the human’s way. Thanks to SC Media - we’re honored to stand alongside some incredible cybersecurity innovators. VDI was built for yesterday’s problems. So why are so many enterprises still clinging to it? On April 15, join Island VP & Field CTO Jason Trunk for a live Information Security Media Group (ISMG) webinar on the modern alternative to VDI: just a browser. Well, not just any browser. The Enterprise Browser. Jason will walk through why the browser is becoming the new digital workspace for modern organizations, plus he’ll demo how Island replaces legacy access models without sacrificing control or user experience.
