We are thrilled to share a monumental milestone in our mission to deliver exceptional medical education and patient care: our Emergency Medicine residency program has officially received accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)! This achievement is a testament to the dedication, vision, and hard work of our entire team. It reflects the collective commitment of those who have worked tirelessly to build and shape this program. This accreditation marks a significant step forward, positioning Insight to train the next generation of emergency medicine physicians who will uphold our standard of providing compassionate, high-quality care to the communities we serve. It is a proud moment that demonstrates our ability to lead and innovate in graduate medical education. Historic Investment in Healthcare Equity for Chicago’s South Side We are proud to announce that Insight Hospital & Medical Center Chicago and the SBEV Chicago Impact Center have been awarded $22 million through the Illinois Healthcare Transformation Capital Investment Grant Program! This groundbreaking investment, led by Governor JB Pritzker, is a monumental step toward addressing healthcare inequities and improving access to vital services in underserved communities.  Key Highlights: A 30,000 sq. ft. urgent care and primary care facility, offering expanded access to compassionate, high-quality care. The transformation of the historic Corpus Christi Church in Washington Park into a community hub featuring wellness programs, afterschool activities, and more.  Dr. Jawad Shah, Founder/CEO of Insight, shared: "This grant ensures that residents on Chicago’s South Side receive the care they deserve while strengthening the fabric of our community." Atif Bawahab, CEO of Insight Hospital Chicago, added: "This project is not only about healthcare but also about fostering economic growth and empowerment for generations to come."
