Recently, we visited a Mowi farm in Norway for a site visit. They use Innovasea's environmental sensors to to track key water conditions, like salinity and oxygen levels, in real-time. With live data, the farm can identify optimal feeding times and step in when conditions threaten fish health. River herring have been essential to Massachusetts’ rich history since the 17th century, but their populations have sharply declined in recent decades, in part due to manmade barriers. Plymouth, MA, is one of several towns working to revive their local river fish species. While planning a multi-million dollar project to restore the flow of Town Brook for the first time since 1636, they enlisted Innovasea’s HydroAI™ fish counting solution to help measure their progress. With automated, AI-powered fish counting, the town is gaining new insights into how the project is benefiting herring populations.
