Industry Ventures reposted this
Over the past few years venture managers have increasingly felt pressure to find liquidity beyond the traditional IPO and M&A avenues due to startups staying private longer alongside previous and current turmoil in the public markets leading to a denominator effect for LPs, among other things. This morning Industry Ventures announced the launch of its Preferred Venture Liquidity Program, an initiative it says is designed specifically to address the pain points that venture GPs, LPs and portfolio companies are feeling. "We talked to everybody and asked them what they needed help with that we could provide, and there's a couple interesting things that popped out and we consolidated them into this program," firm founder and CEO Hans Swildens told me. "We don't charge fees or anything. We just want to be a partner and a collaborator for them, their companies and their LPs," he added.
