Can you feel it, Cleveland? It’s almost time! ⚾ With the Cleveland Guardians home opener right around the corner, we’re excited to share a look at the all-new Terrace Hub. This multi-level renovation features three levels of indoor/outdoor bars and food service options to enhance the game day experience. Fans can grab a bite at one of grab-and-go areas on the first floor, enjoy a meal at the public halls/patios, or reserve a private terrace booth featuring temperature-controlled seating situated next to an open bar and buffet combo. In addition to our work as Construction Manager – with Mortenson and The AKA Team – our Special Projects Group has played a key role in bringing this space to life, installing a variety of finishes, including solid surface and stainless-steel countertops, bar fixtures, and woodwork accents. Last week, the DiGeronimo Companies team came together to celebrate the start of our 2025 philanthropic initiatives, led by DiGCo Digs Deep, our employee volunteer program .✨❤️ With community at the core of everything we do, we gathered in our café, enjoying the open doors, sunshine, and great energy as we explored meaningful ways to make an impact. ☀️ As part of our commitment, we participated in an activity for Business Volunteers Unlimited’s Homeless Stand Down, one of Cleveland’s largest annual philanthropic events. 🧦 By pairing up socks to be distributed to those in need, we contributed to this important cause, helping make a difference, one small act at a time. We also hosted a blood drive, where 19 generous DiGCo donors provided lifesaving support to 57 patients in need - another powerful reminder of how small efforts can create a big impact. 🩸 And this is just the beginning! Take a look inside Heritage Classical Academy’s recently completed campus in Pepper Pike! Originally a 65-acre behavioral health residential facility, our Special Projects Group transformed the space into a modern pre-K-12 campus. We revitalized portions of six existing buildings, creating new classrooms, hallways, lockers, accessibility ramps, restrooms, and upgraded MEPT systems. Our Special Projects Group is putting the final touches on Park Place Technologies’ new HQ in Highland Heights! We’re in the home stretch on another successful corporate HQ with Vocon, with 85% of the building turned over to the owners and fully operational! While we wrap up final details in the main lobby and parking garage, the newly completed café space is already in use – featuring open gathering spaces and many employee friendly amenities. Outside, installation of ACM panels, site pavers, and landscaping is finishing up now that the weather is cooperating. Project Update: Metro RTA’s New Maintenance & Operations Facility 🚧🚍 Independence Construction is proud to be partnered with G. Stephens Inc. as the CM Team on this new 107,000 SF facility that will improve operations and enhance vehicle maintenance services for the METRO Regional Transit Authority. Recent milestones achieved include completion of the structural steel for the entire building along with detailing and decking in the North office area. Crews are currently focused on precast wall panel placement, site utilities, and the main service bay’s interior CMU shear walls. Upcoming work includes underground plumbing and electrical, as well as exterior framing in the North office area. Thank you to Richard L.
