What is Unblending? When a Part blends with Self, we see the world from the Part’s perspective. It’s like wearing glasses of that Part’s perspective and looking into the world. Watch this video to learn more about it: https://lnkd.in/dhQDR4yx Unblending in IFS means separating yourself from a strong feeling or aspect of yourself, recognizing that it's just a part of you and not the whole. When Parts unblend, Self is immediately present and available. Unblending helps you have some space inside, separate from your parts. Discover the transformative power of IFS therapy with IFS Guide. Watch this video to learn more about it: https://lnkd.in/gwh7hUPG Instead of letting protective parts (like anxiety or anger) dominate your actions, Self-leadership helps you maintain balance and respond thoughtfully to situations. This form of leadership isn't forceful but rooted in compassion and understanding, allowing your parts to feel heard while you stay grounded, making better decisions for your well-being. What are the 6 F’s in IFS? When we want to connect with a specific Part, we go through 6 F’s: 1- Find 2- Focus 3- Flesh out 4- Feel toward 5- Befriend 6- Fear Watch this video to learn more about it: https://lnkd.in/dqEATEm8 1-FIND: The first step is to bring attention to the Part and then find the physical sensation of this specific Part in or around your body. 2-Focus: Once you have identified your Part’s sensations, it is important to focus on its image, sight, and sensation. This will help you better understand its unique perspectives, beliefs, and emotions. 3-Flesh out: While focusing on it, the next step is to flesh out and see if there is anything else we can find about this Part. The details you find can be urges, voices, reactions, etc. that will help you better notice the Part within your system. 4-Feel toward: We check to see how we feel towards this Part of us. For example, if we are having an angry Part, we explore how we feel towards this anger. If we're feeling something other than curiosity, compassion, or the other 8C's, then we're blended with another Part, which we need to acknowledge and ask for space. 5-Befriend: We ask questions from the part to know it better and aim to develop a deeper relationship with it through compassion, and understanding. 6-Fear: The final step is to understand the protector’s fears if it didn’t do its role, which leads to the vulnerability or Exile that is protecting. What is the difference between Protectors & Exiles? In IFS, we categorize our Parts into 2 groups, named: 1-Protectors (Firefighters & Managers) 2-Exiles Protectors are like an outer layer that protects Exiles. Therefore, when approaching our Parts, we usually see Protector Parts because they often show up more easily than Exiles. Discover the transformative power of IFS therapy with IFS Guide.
