In a new study from the Partnership for Public Service, HUD has been named a top 10 federal agency for employee and customer experience. HUD is committed to strengthening internal operations and, in turn, the services we provide to the public. 💻

Today, HUD awarded $3.6 billion to 7,000 projects nationwide -- the largest amount of federal funding through this program in history -- to provide housing assistance and supportive services to our homeless neighbors. Read more here.

Today, the Biden-Harris Administration awarded $100 million in critical funding to 18 winners across 15 states to remove barriers to housing production, build more homes, and lower the costs of renting and buying a home.

President Biden issued a major disaster declaration for California, making federal resources available to affected individuals in Los Angeles County. Here at HUD, we have announced the implementation of federal disaster assistance for the State of California and ordered federal assistance for state, tribal, and local recovery efforts in areas affected by wildfires and straight-line winds beginning on January 7, 2025, and continuing.

Today, HUD makes $10 million available to support minority-serving institutions to research critical housing and community development topics. These funds will advance knowledge in the field while strengthening these anchors of Black, brown, and Native communities.

The Biden-Harris Administration has just delivered an additional $12 billion in critical, long-term assistance to communities impacted by the Lahaina Wildfire, Hurricane Helene, Hurricane Milton, and other disasters in 2023 and 2024. Yesterday, HUD Agency Head Adrianne Todman traveled to Asheville, North Carolina alongside Governor Josh Stein to tour impacted communities and deliver more than $1.6 billion to help Western North Carolina build back better. https://lnkd.in/eu-ssuRe
