We're pleased to share that Housing Partnership Network has received an 'A+' credit rating with a stable outlook from Fitch Ratings, one of the nation's nationally recognized credit rating agencies! This rating validates HPN's strong financial profile, robust governance, and commitment to affordable housing across the country. As one of the few CDFIs that are rated, this investment grade designation opens opportunities for HPN to expand its impact with its members. Fitch highlighted our “strong financial profile,” “experienced management team,” and “solid governance structure” as key strengths behind this rating. It cites our “...strong revenue defensibility assessment and sufficient operating risk profile, supported by a strongly vetted and geographically diverse lending strategy, active management oversight, and solid financial performance. Through collaboration with its member organizations, HPN focuses on innovation, policy advocacy, and building partnerships to address housing challenges nationwide.” This milestone positions HPN to strengthen its work in the capital markets, expand our work with our members, and boost delivery of affordable housing nationwide. #AffordableHousing #SocialImpact #InvestmentGrade #CDFI #FitchRatings https://lnkd.in/gC-d2p4h

"There's no way to solve the homelessness crisis or the crisis and the lack of housing that ordinary families can afford, if we're not building hundreds of thousands of new units every year." - Senator Adam Schiff Thank you, Senator Schiff, for your leadership in expanding housing opportunities! During the tour, our CEO "Matt" Franklin shared how MidPen navigated the *many* complexities of financing and partnered with Signature Development Group, Oakland Housing Authority, City of Oakland, and Oak to 9th Community Benefits Coalition to bring 465 affordable homes to Brooklyn Basin. We appreciate your commitment to strengthening and expanding the #LIHTC so more communities like Brooklyn Basin can serve Californians. Together, we’re building a future where everyone has a place to call home. 🏡💙

Nothing beats the energy of coming together in person! As a remote team, our biannual retreats allow us to step away from our screens, dive deep into big ideas, and reconnect beyond the Zoom squares. 💻 Over two days in Boston, we tackled everything from AI and goal-setting to the ways we support our members through lending, place-based projects, and today’s shifting policy landscape. We also got some fresh new headshots captured by Kevin Thai with Three Circles Studio! 📸 The best part was the conversations, the laughter, and the reminder that while we may be remote, we are always working together. Until next time!

Now is a great time to enhance the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit! Yesterday in Washington, Cinnaire's Chris Neary joined partners and advocates for the Housing Credit program, including the Housing Partnership Network's Shannon Ross and Kelly Read, the National Association of State and Local Equity Funds (NASLEF) and Council for Affordable and Rural Housing at a briefing for Congressional staff organized by the ACTION Campaign, a national coalition of supporters of the Housing Credit program led by the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) and Enterprise Community Partners. The briefing informed Congressional staff about the impact of the Housing Credit program and how enhancing the Housing Credit can help address the housing affordability crisis affecting communities across the country, including rural and urban areas in the markets Cinnaire serves. There is tremendous bipartisan support for this proven, effective public-private partnership.
