  • A new bipartisan bill, H.R. 2270, could make it more affordable for employers to offer caregiving benefits. This is an important step toward recognizing and supporting the millions of Americans who are balancing work with caregiving responsibilities. If passed, this legislation would help lower the cost of providing benefits such as eldercare support, respite resources, and guidance for families navigating complex care situations. Supporting caregivers is essential to a healthy workplace. This bill offers a concrete step in the right direction. 🔗 Learn more about H.R. 2270: https://lnkd.in/g4Hcs5H6

  • One in five employees is juggling work and caregiving, often devoting the equivalent of a part-time job to care duties on top of their full-time roles. As the aging population grows and more workers fall into the sandwich generation, this challenge will only intensify. If employers don’t take proactive steps, the toll on productivity, retention, and employee well-being will continue to grow. 📖 Learn more by reading our latest Care Connection article.

  • Caregiving needs can happen at any time, day or night. • You likely have caregivers on your team but you (and they) might not even realize it. This powerful NPR article sheds light on a common, costly problem: when employees don’t identify as caregivers, they often don’t ask for help. Many employees caring for aging parents, sick partners, or loved ones with disabilities don’t see themselves as “caregivers” and employers may not either. That identity gap is real, and it’s one reason support so often comes too late. We work with employers to recognize and support caregivers in the workforce before burnout hits. https://lnkd.in/gdh2aUKn

Caregiving isn’t just happening at home. It’s showing up at work—every single day. In 2025, more employees are being asked to return to the office 3, 4, even 5 days a week. At the same time, nearly 1 in 4 are also caring for an aging parent, a disabled spouse, or a child with complex needs. They’re managing: ✔️ Doctor visits ✔️ Emotional decisions ✔️ Late-night paperwork ✔️ And still trying to perform at work It’s not just exhausting. It’s unsustainable. We see the signs: • Productivity dips—but no one says why • PTO gets used up—not for rest, but for care • Health declines quietly under the radar And yet—most traditional benefits don’t touch this. EAPs? Too short-term Health plans? Don’t help you navigate Managers? Often unaware or unsure how to help That’s why caregiving support—like care concierge or navigation services—isn’t just a perk anymore. It’s infrastructure for a resilient, high-performing workforce. Because the ROI isn’t just in claims data. It’s in the people who stay. The ones who breathe again. The ones who feel seen. In a cost-focused environment, supporting caregivers isn’t an expense. It’s a strategy to protect your people—and your bottom line. ➡️ Join us April 17, for a powerful conversation that will reshape how you think about benefits. • 💡 April is Financial Literacy Month, and it's an important moment for HR and benefits leaders to recognize a major blind spot in many financial wellness strategies: 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠. The average caregiver spends $7,200 annually out of pocket, with long-distance caregivers averaging close to $12,000. And the financial strain doesn't stop there. Caregiving often leads to reduced income, limited career advancement, and long-term financial instability. Here are just a few examples of how caregiving impacts employee finances: 💰 Paying for medications, transportation, home modifications, and uncovered medical services 💰 Contributing to a care recipient’s rent, groceries, and utilities 💰 Taking unpaid leave, reducing work hours, or turning down promotions 💰 Retiring early and losing access to employer-sponsored benefits 💰 Accumulating debt or withdrawing from retirement accounts to stay afloat When these financial pressures go unaddressed, they lead to burnout, disengagement, and turnover—especially among mid-career professionals and women, who shoulder a large share of caregiving duties. If your financial wellness strategy doesn’t include caregivers, you are missing a critical opportunity to protect your people and your bottom line. #FinancialLiteracyMonth #EmployeeWellbeing #BenefitsStrategy
