"A lot on the line!" We're placing 350 lb, 10-foot-tall, 5-inch-wide steel fire-rated ceramic glazed lot line windows in incredibly tight spaces—this isn't a job for the faint of heart. Several stories up, over skylights and alleyways, it takes precise planning, patience, and craftsmanship to replace 130-year-old double-hung wood windows with modern Optimum Window Mfg Corp single-hung units. Meeting NYC building code and New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission requirements, especially in historic TriBeCa on White Street, brings both safety and sound attenuation benefits, plus improved thermal performance. The transformation is now complete with custom interior casings matching the original! #historicalwindows #nyc #tribeca

214 West 16th Street is a fascinating brick building from 1898, blending Federal Style with touches of Neoclassical, Beaux-Arts, and Baroque elements. The unique facade, along with its neighboring sister buildings, showcases remarkable craftsmanship with Limestone and Terracotta arches, coursing, and carvings. We recently completed the installation of period-perfect 2 over 2 Norwood Windows and Doors NorClad Double-Hung New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission approved windows on the rear, featuring custom exterior metal brick mold capping and interior casing. #historicalwindows #nyc #landmark
