  • Our Helen Keller Services team was proud to participate in the Foundation Fighting Blindness New York VisionWalk in Central Park on Saturday! We had an amazing time connecting with members of the blind and low vision community. We were inspired by the stories we heard from individuals navigating vision loss and their families. Many visitors were excited to learn about our comprehensive services and these conversations highlighted the importance of having access to specialized rehabilitation services throughout life's journey. The dedication shown by everyone who participated—from families with strollers to guide dog teams navigating the paths—demonstrated the incredible strength of this community. We're grateful for the new connections made and look forward to supporting many of the people we met. Thank you to the Foundation Fighting Blindness for organizing such a meaningful event! • Coming Soon A survey team from CARF International* will be visiting on April 23-25, 2025. We invited the surveyors to evaluate how well we meet international standards for quality. Some questions the survey team members might ask people are: Do we provide a clean and safe setting? Do you receive the services you need and want? Are you treated with respect? Do you take part in planning your services? Are you told what you need to know about your services? Are your questions answered in a way you understand? Do you know where to go with questions or concerns?
