What went into constructing the Logistics Building of the Year? When GXO partnered with Kellanova (the company behind Kellogg's cereal and Pringles chips) to build their largest logistics hub in Europe, we focused on safety, innovation and sustainability. Automation reduces the need for forklifts and trucks on the work floor, while separate access routes for passenger and freight vehicles eliminates the potential danger of intersections. Green initiatives like solar power, LED lighting, and biodiversity planning earned the site a coveted BREEAM "Excellent" certificate — and it was all built on a redeveloped brownfield site, turning an abandoned paint factory into a location that gives back to the community.
