Meet Sean Smith '23, a SUNY Poly alumnus who transformed his passion for technology into Triarii AI, a startup developing large language models for cybersecurity professionals. During his time at SUNY Poly, Sean revived the Chess Club, competed in hackathons, and participated in business plan competitions, all of which fueled his entrepreneurial spirit. "Off in the Clouds" is a FREE Internet of Things (IoT) STEM class for high school students that will be hosted Saturday, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Innovare Advancement Center. This fun, one-day class will introduce youth to the fundamentals of cloud services, highlight real-world tech challenges, and inspire students to pursue careers in technology. Student teams will actively research, learn, communicate and convince mock companies (instructors) why their company should utilize cloud services. The teams will compete to deliver the most creative and factual presentation about why a company should use cloud computing services. Parents and teachers are invited to watch the presentations!
