Global Water Center recently had a great meeting at the Ghana TVET Service headquarters, where we explored ways to expand water operator training across the country. Their team brought together key managers, providing valuable insights on how to introduce the program to more schools and integrate teacher training. This kind of collaboration is essential for scaling impact. By working together, we can equip more educators and students with the skills needed to ensure safe water access for communities across Ghana. Looking forward to the next steps in making water training more widespread and accessible! #WaterQuality #GlobalWaterCenter #WASH #CapacityBuilding #TVET #WaterTraining #Ghana

Strong leadership is key to equipping students with the skills they need to provide safe water for their communities. We are especially grateful for these leaders at St. Paul’s Technical Institute in Ghana: 🔹 Kingsley Essuman, Head Teacher, for his leadership in guiding students through hands-on learning and technical training. 🔹 Mr. Teye-Bi-Teye Agualey David, the new principal, for fully embracing the Ghana Water Operator Training program and supporting its growth. 🔹 Xorlali Kpodo, project coordinator, for organizing logistics, facilitating key meetings, and being dedicated to this work since the beginning. Lisa Mitchell, Katherine Freligh, and Kendra Driscoll recently visited and saw firsthand the impact of their efforts. It is inspiring to collaborate with such passionate individuals who are shaping the future of water education in Ghana. #WaterQuality #GlobalWaterCenter #WASH #CapacityBuilding #WaterTraining #TechnicalEducation #Ghana

At Global Water Center, we believe that training the trainers is one of the most powerful ways to create lasting impact. By equipping educators with the skills and confidence to teach water treatment effectively, we ensure that knowledge spreads far beyond a single classroom. In a recent train-the-trainer session, instructors experienced hands-on learning just like their students. They competed to see who could reduce turbidity the most, with a prize for the winner. But beyond the friendly competition, they gained crucial skills: 📌 Learning by doing, just as their students will 🔧 Calibrating, maintaining, and properly using equipment 💡 Gaining confidence in teaching hands-on water treatment techniques By strengthening trainers, we create ripples of change, ensuring that each new generation of students receives the best possible education in water treatment. #WaterQuality #GlobalWaterCenter #SDG6 #CapacityBuilding #WASH #Ghana
