We hold a shared belief that all students and staff have the capacity to learn, grow, and excel. This mindset of continuous improvement is at the heart of our strategic efforts and reflects who we are as educators. I am honored to lead this remarkable district as we work collectively to expand access and opportunities for every student. Together, we will empower our students to discover their identity, aspirations, and pathways as they prepare for success beyond high school. This is a transformative time for Glenbard, marked by the largest facility improvement projects in our district’s history and significant advancements in dual credit opportunities and career exploration programs. American Association of School Personnel Administrators Region 2 Members I am asking for your support in the upcoming AASPA election for Region 2 Representative. The voting for AASPA Board positions begins on Thursday, August 1, 2024, and ends on Saturday, August 10. If elected, I would be committed to continuing AASPA's support of our profession and serving Region 2 by actively promoting our region’s unique needs and growth. When I was selected to be the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for Glenbard Township High School District 87 after 7 years as the Glenbard East Principal, I knew that AASPA would provide me with the support and resources to be successful.  Because of this support, I feel that it is important to give back to the organization. I am qualified to represent you on the AAPSA Board as I have been an active member of AASPA since 2015.  During my time at AASPA, I have served as a member, Co-Chair, and Chair of the Leon Bradley Scholarship Committee.  I have also been a member of the Constitution and By-Laws Committee.  The annual conference is my favorite professional development event every year. Beyond my service at the AASPA level, I am also an active member of the Illinois Association of School Personnel Administrators, AASPA’s Illinois affiliate. I currently serve  as Chair of the Communications Committee on the IASPA Executive Board. At the January 2024 meeting I was humbled and honored to be recognized as the 2024 IASPA Personnel Administrator of the Year.     As school personnel administrators, it is critical that we remain aware of the changing landscape of school labor, including all of the law and policy changes that make our role within the educational system unique. AASPA serves as our greatest resource by keeping its membership aware of changes to our field in a timely manner. I want to make sure that AASPA continues to respond to our needs and keep us informed and ready to lead. I will serve as an active member, represent Region 2 members on the executive board, and promote our organization. I will be honored to serve as the Region 2 representative and ask that you support me with your VOTE! Voting is simple. Please use the link that you'll receive from kelly@AASPA.org on August 1st, and make your selection for Region 2 Representative. Thank you in advance for your support.
