A glimpse into the future of our new Aachen site! Our 130,000 sq. ft. facility dedicated to expanding our coatings business is rapidly taking shape to meet the rising demand for drug-device combination products. As a brownfield project, we’re transforming an existing site into a state-of-the-art facility with ISO Class 7 cleanrooms, cutting-edge labs, and space for 450+ employees. While construction progresses, here’s a sneak peek video of the final vision for our new Hemoteq AG facility!

Dry eyes after surgery or due to chronic illness can be quite uncomfortable and may significantly impact quality of life. Affected individuals are often dependent on eyedrops. But what if there was another solution, an alternative to artificial tears? There is: The Punctum Plug - a tiny silicone plug that is inserted into the tear duct to prevent the drainage of tear fluid. Manufacturing this product, which has a diameter of just 0.5 millimeters, requires maximum precision. Freudenberg Medical has developed a high-precision micro molding process for these tiny silicone parts to achieve reliable and consistent results for its customers. It is fascinating in how many - and often invisible - ways Freudenberg makes patients' lives healthier and more comfortable.  #innovatingtogether

Spotlight on our site in Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland, where we manufacture minimally invasive catheters under clean room conditions. To improve energy efficiency, the team optimized compressed air management by implementing leak detection programs, auto-off sensors, and pressure control valves. These measures resulted in an annual energy reduction of 389 MWh—cutting consumption by 9%! A great example of how operational excellence and sustainability go hand in hand.
