This coming Thursday with Fordjour Studio 🙌🏼🙌🏼
All along the park, our High Line Art commissions transform the naturalistic gardens and enhance the beauty of our 1.5-mile-long path—and are free for every parkgoer to appreciate. Next week, Cecilia Alemani, the Donald R. Mullen, Jr. Director & Chief Curator of High Line Art, will discuss the role public art plays in shaping urban spaces at an upcoming panel at the Museum of the City of New York! Cecilia will be speaking alongside artists Derek Fordjour and Saya Woolfalk, Sandra Bloodworth (former Director of New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Arts & Design, founder of Bloodworth Arts International), and Jean Cooney (Vice President of Arts and Culture for the Times Square Alliance and Director of Times Square Arts). During the conversation, panelists will explore how public art reflects cultural values, challenges perceptions, and plays a vital role in shaping New York City’s identity. 🏙️: Museum of the City of New York 📅: Thursday, January 30 ⏰: 7pm 🎟️: $30 General Admission, $25 Members 🎫: https://lnkd.in/ggZzwEv2
