This week, we rallied on the steps of City Hall to demand $100 million in baseline funding for Community Food Connection—because millions of New Yorkers rely on this lifeline to access fresh, nutritious food. At a time when too many New Yorkers are struggling to afford basics and federal safety net programs face major setbacks, this investment ensures that our city’s food pantries can continue to meet record demand. Every dollar strengthens the health, stability, and economic resilience of our communities—and keeps our neighbors nourished with dignity. That’s why we’re grateful to NYC Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, Councilman Justin Brannan, Deputy Speaker Diana Ayala, and the entire New York City Council for championing food equity by including $100 million in baseline funding for Community Food Connection in the Council’s budget response. Now, we must make sure this critical funding makes it across the finish line in the final city budget. Our communities are counting on it. 🔗 SIGN HERE: https://bit.ly/3PHI7Fi

This #InternationalWomensDay, let’s get real. Women do it all—working, raising kids, running households. But did you know they also face higher poverty rates, lower wages, and greater food insecurity than men? 📊 In NYC, over 825,000 women live below the poverty line. 📉 Women-led households earn 30% less than male-led ones. 🍽️ And 31.6% of female-led households rely on SNAP to get by. That’s why Food Bank For NYC is stepping up—to provide food, baby formula, hygiene products, and more to the women and families who need it most. But we can’t do it alone. 🧡 Stand with us. Donate, advocate, and help make food security a reality for all women. 🔗 Take action today: https://bit.ly/3QNQ9xa
