Celebrating World Book Day Through Campus Stories From author signings to literary festivals, our campus stores are proud to support a love of reading and storytelling all year long. At Kentucky State University, the store hosted a popular “Blind Date with a Book” event—wrapping trade books in paper and pairing them with intriguing descriptions to surprise and delight students. At Adelphi University, the store plays a key role in the annual Literary Festival, curating more than 2,000 titles from 30+ authors. This April’s event featured Sarah Jessica Parker and her SJP Lit imprint. At Bemidji State University, our store partners with the Northwoods Writers Conference each June, providing over 1,000 books to support featured authors and readers. It’s a powerful celebration of community and creativity. At Follett, sustainability is a mindset we carry all year long. This Earth Day, we're proud to highlight a few ways our teams are making an impact: 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀: Follett team members have collectively logged over 1,000 actions that contribute to meaningful carbon offsets—equal to 1,000 tons of emissions reduced. 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Over the past three years, we've consistently lowered our shipping emissions. On average, Follett now produces 68% less shipping-related emissions compared to companies of similar volume, thanks to thoughtful logistics and our partnership with UPS. 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: We're proud to partner with Legacy Youth Leadership on their Earth Day campaign, Home: Your Footprint Matters, which empowers students to reflect on their environmental impact and take meaningful action. The Bed Party trend is turning college acceptances into full-blown celebrations. Families surprise their students by decorating their beds with school-branded gear—creating a vibrant, photo-ready backdrop to announce both acceptance and the decision to attend.
