Fascinating conversation with John Mandyck + Steven Rochlin last month about communicating the value of #sustainability. It's not lost on me that the "case" has to be made yet again as our work is facing more and more scrutiny and polarization. 🥲 BUT, every time I connect with this #community, I'm truly reenergized by how many smart people are pushing forward from different angles. 💥 Cross #collaboration, #interdisciplinary thinking, #inclusion and LISTENING to each other is what will save us. 💚 Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate, Britta D. + Environmental Initiative 🙏🏽.

Last month, members of the Sustainable Growth Coalition joined us in person and on Zoom for a March learning lab! In this session, members explored how to communicate the value of sustainability initiatives within a changing economic and political landscape. Thank you to Noemí Jiménez of qb. consulting, John Mandyck of Urban Green Council, and Steven Rochlin of IMPACT ROI, LLC for highlighting the need for flexible, values-driven communication strategies that resonate with both internal and external stakeholders. "Participants enjoyed hearing new and different ideas from their peers, enjoyed the collaborative and interactive portions of the session, and found it helpful to use data driven examples to learn about their target audiences." Big thanks to Illinois Sustainable Ag Partnership for co-hosting and sharing this great post about our recent conservation agriculture outreach and engagement workshop in February. https://lnkd.in/gRswUwZQ Through our partnership with Trust In Food™, we’re sharing key insights from an in-depth analysis of the values, interests, and barriers to conservation agriculture adoption among more than 55,000 row crop farmers in Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska. We designed an outreach strategy was grounded in those producer insights, and tested a variety of values-based messages and creative visuals over several months to refine what resonates most effectively. Three hour workshops walk participants through this case study and allow for individual and small group work to their own design an outreach strategy from scratch. Reach out to Deborah Carter McCoy on our team if you're interested in learning more about hosting a workshop with us.

Over the past five years, Midwest Row Crop Collaborative partners have been testing what it takes to make regenerative agriculture stick on real farms, with real outcomes. Thanks to funding from HSBC Bank USA, we worked across four Midwestern states to: - Reduce risk for farmers adopting new practices. - Test incentive models that align sustainability with profitability. - Build trusted networks to drive peer-to-peer learning. 👉 Read the blog and follow along with the series: https://ow.ly/68Rx50VxC7a #SystemsChange #MidwestAg #SustainableFarming

In March, we brought a group of Clean Air Minnesota (CAM) members together to do some visioning about CAM's future. Given the changes in federal standards, the progress of state rule-making, and a large swath of new faces, now felt like a good time to take a step back and think about what prompts us to change and what opportunities we want to pursue together. Huge thank you to everyone who attended! We appreciated your laughter, critical thinking, and lively discussion.

Farmers are at the heart of regenerative agriculture, and real change starts with understanding their risks, realities, and reasons for adopting new practices. In part one of our new blog series, the Midwest Row Crop Collaborative reflects on five years of work made possible by funding from HSBC Bank USA. We highlight how three field-level projects helped us: 🌾 Learn what drives practice change. 📊 Use data to inform decisions. 💸 Align incentives with long-term sustainability goals. 📌 Follow along as we share what’s working (and what still needs work): https://lnkd.in/gWwZ_b9T #AgLeadership #FarmerDrivenChange #Sustainability #RegenAg
