About us

GiveMN is an independent nonprofit organization working to ignite generosity and grow giving through GiveMN.org, Minnesota’s giving marketplace, and RaiseMN, a fundraising coaching and training program. Since 2009, more than 400,000 donors have made gifts with ease and enthusiasm through GiveMN.org to make a difference for causes in their communities. Through this online marketplace for generosity, and giving events like the annual Give to the Max Day, GiveMN has helped to generate more than $200 million for nearly 12,000 nonprofits in its first decade. RaiseMN serves Minnesota nonprofits through individualized coaching and programs to transform nonprofit fundraising. Focusing on small- to medium-sized organizations, RaiseMN builds more healthy and sustainable fundraising practices so nonprofits can continue to pursue and expand their mission in their communities. Launched in 2009 by Minnesota Community Foundation, GiveMN is supported by many generous foundation and corporate partners, contributions from individual donors, and revenue from its programs.

  • For 55 years, Earth Day has brought Minnesotans together to celebrate and support our state’s environment. Today, you can celebrate Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes, vast prairies, and wonderful wildlife by supporting the #EarthDayCollaborative: ten organizations providing solutions to the environmental issues facing our state today.    These organizations have come together to create the One Day, One Earth, One Minnesota fund and raise $250,000 to protect Minnesota’s air, water, land, and people. At a time when our environment faces urgent threats from climate change, habitat loss, polluted water, and environmental injustices, and less than 5% of U.S. philanthropic funding supports climate and nature, you can help ensure that Minnesota’s environment continues to flourish for generations to come. Will you support their work with your most generous gift today? Make a gift: https://lnkd.in/geXweT88 Learn more about the collaborative: https://lnkd.in/gtmezwXw #sponsored

Announcing Our 2025 Planned Giving Training Cohort! The Patrick and Aimee Butler Family Foundation, in partnership with GiveMN, is thrilled to announce the 21 exceptional organizations participating in our second planned giving training cohort! Our 2025 participants include: Ann Bancroft Foundation, Avenues for Youth, Bridging MN, Dodge Nature Center, Domestic Abuse Project, Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center, Emma Norton Services, Environmental Initiative, Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, Highpoint Center for Printmaking, Hope Community, Inc., Minnesota Recovery Connection, Northern Clay Center, Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ), Solid Ground MN, St. Paul Conservatory of Music, The Bridge for Youth, The Family Partnership, Walker West Music Academy, Wayside Recovery, and YouthLink MN. This comprehensive program empowers organizations to launch or enhance their planned giving strategies through: * An immersive 5-hour workshop * A tailored one-on-one fundraising coaching session * A collaborative cohort reunion As one previous participant shared: "I now have the building blocks to formalize [our] planned giving program at a moment when our longest-supporting donors are thinking of their own legacy. Had I pursued this type of programming through another entity or conference, it would have cost hundreds, if not thousands, of professional development dollars." Heartfelt thanks to the dedicated team at GiveMN for making this initiative possible!
