ENERCON recently completed Extended Power Uprate (EPU) feasibility studies for two US nuclear facilities. ENERCON’s team of experts completed evaluations to identify the direct impact of the power uprate on approximately two dozen balance of plant (BOP) systems and programs. These evaluations reviewed previous power uprate documentation and utilized engineering judgement supplemented by previous uprate experiences to identify areas of limited operational margin. Each evaluation included recommended evaluations, models, and modifications needed to proceed with the uprate.
