  • Come join us for the webinar! We’ll be touching on the current events on the eastern seaboard regarding drone sightings but also on many more salient predictions about how autonomous aerospace plays out in a Trump administration’s FAA!

  • We are not proposing that there isn’t anything to explain over NJ but there is likely less to explain than the media frenzy might have us believe. The challenge of actually identifying what’s up in the sky overhead at a given time is not a simple one for most people but we urge everyone to do a little due diligence before posting more imagery of routine flight operations ascribed to drones ;) Don’t fan the flames without good reason. Right now this image seems to be the norm, and we can do better!

Helping companies in the Unmanned space clarify their path forward into new markets and verticals. #UAS #Marketgrowth #unmannedsystems

#PSA to all Washington State companies. There is a #scam floating around trying to collect on false goverment fees. I got my letter today. Looked into it a bit cause it seemed off and sure enough, this letter is NOT from the State Government. I confirmed with them as well. Don't pay this! Repost to help protect others. • Dawn Zoldi appreciate the measured approach. Is this rash of activity nefarious? Don’t know, but it certainly seems non-compliant in cases where they don’t appear to be obviously manned aircraft. I hope the recent End State Solutions LLC post about checking remote ID and ADS-B out data can help the general public make more informed observations about what’s in the sky nearby! On the #CUAS front I think it’s the same old story…we as a nation will naturally be reactive before we invest in significant counter UAS resources and field them broadly but we need only look to the conflicts in Eastern Europe and the Middle East to see that the threat is real.

🛸 Catch my recent feature with State Sen. Jon Bramnick on The Ingraham Angle 🎥, discussing the mysterious drones spotted over New Jersey. Similar sightings have also been reported in New York and Pennsylvania. But are these drones really - or planet sightings or general aviation aircraft - or a mix? I’ll tell you what could help answer that question - give SLTT the legal authority to do their jobs to protect the public by enabling their expert teams to legitimately detect, track, ID - and if needed - mitigate - confirmed drone threats 🚫 https://lnkd.in/gFu75vJs

  • Understanding Drone Identification and Compliance: A Guide for New Jersey Residents Recent reports of unexplained drone activity over New Jersey have raised questions about what's going on in the sky above your communities. We want to provide some clarity on how residents can identify and verify aerial vehicles in their vicinity. Understanding Drone Regulations and Identification The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) classifies drones as aircraft and regulates them accordingly. Under FAA regulations 14 CFR Part 107, drones weighing 250 grams or more must be equipped with Remote ID modules – essentially digital license plates for unmanned aerial vehicles. What is Remote ID? Remote ID is a broadcast technology that transmits specific information about a drone during flight. The broadcast includes: - The drone's unique identifier, location, altitude, velocity, the control station's location, and time mark. This broadcast system functions similarly to a digital beacon, allowing anyone with a Remote ID-compatible receiving app to view this basic flight information. Tools for Aircraft Identification When observing unusual aerial activity, residents have several verification methods at their disposal: 1. Remote ID Receiving Apps    If you spot a drone in your vicinity, Remote ID-compatible apps can receive and display the broadcast information from compliant drones. While these apps won't show the drone's registration details or owner information, they will show you the drone's location, the operator's location, and basic flight data. This broadcast system helps identify the presence of legitimate, compliant drone operations in your area. 2. ADSB Exchange    For conventional aircraft that might be mistaken for drones, ADSB Exchange (adsbexchange.com) provides real-time tracking of aircraft equipped with automatic dependent surveillance broadcast (ADS-B) modules. Other websites like www.flightaware.com offer similar views of the sky. Aerial Vehicle Verification If you observe unusual aerial activity: 1. First check available tracking tools (Remote ID receivers and ADSB Exchange) 2. Note that not all aerial vehicles are required to broadcast their location 3. Look for announcements from local authorities or commercial entities about planned drone operations Moving Forward As drone technology continues to evolve and integrate into our daily lives, understanding these identification systems becomes increasingly important for peace of mind. With Remote ID requirements now fully implemented as of September 2023, the majority of commercial and industrial drones should be broadcasting their location and basic flight information, providing greater transparency and accountability in our airspace.
