The #ETECcommunity gathered this morning to hear from David Rausch, Director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), who provided an overview of the agency’s role in supporting public safety across the state. Director Rausch spoke about TBI’s commitment to servant leadership, the work of its various divisions, and the importance of ongoing investments in technology that are advancing the agency’s mission. He credited the General Assembly for supporting modernization efforts and shared how new tools on the horizon are positioning TBI for continued success. One key takeaway he offered: Engaged communities are safer communities. Getting to know your neighbors and staying active in your community makes a difference. We also heard an exclusive progress update from John Canik of Type One Energy. We hope you were able to join us in-person or online for that exciting news. The #ETECcommunity came together this morning for a special #FeaturedFridaywiththeETECBoard, filled with updates, recognition, and forward-looking conversations. A key moment of the morning was a tribute to Jay Mullis, Manager of the U.S. Department of Energy - Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management (OREM). Jay was recognized for his impactful leadership and long-standing commitment to advancing environmental cleanup across the Oak Ridge Reservation—clearing the way for future missions and private development. Remarks were shared by Gerald Boyd (ORCDC), Ken Rueter (UCOR), and Erik Olds (DOE Office of Environmental Management) before Jay offered a few reflections of his own. We’re grateful for his service and leadership in the community. Jean-Luc Palayer of Orano USA provided a brief update on the company’s ongoing initiatives in the region. We also thanked MS Technology, Inc. for sponsoring this month’s #ETECFridayMorningMeetingSeries. CEO Randy Inklebarger shared a short video highlighting the company’s work and continued support of the region. Caleb Knight from UTK’s College of Emerging and Collaborative Studies shared details about the upcoming Career Catalyst event on April 10, where ETEC is proud to serve as a Basecamp Sponsor.
