Expanding Sustainable Camelina Cultivation in South America Global Clean Energy and Louis Dreyfus Company have renewed their camelina cultivation collaboration for a decade, building on a successful three-year pilot. With its low water requirements, short growing cycle and ability to improve soil health, camelina cultivation as an intermediate crop offers farmers a valuable addition to their crop rotations, helping to optimize land use while contributing to more sustainable, lower-carbon supply chains for high-protein animal feed and advanced biofuels. Established in Argentina and Uruguay, our camelina program will expand into Paraguay in 2025, and we are grateful to local farmers in the region for embracing this opportunity to grow an ultra-low carbon feedstock, as a lever for meaningful progress on our common sustainability journey.
