The Droneport Network (DPN) is an aerospace facilities development and consulting firm specializing in emerging technologies like unmanned aviation and advanced air mobility. The growth of these new technologies means “aerospace” will move from a separate transportation experience highly secularized and financed through large government entities to a mode of commerce and cultural movement interwoven into our daily experience. This new personal and local way of interacting with autonomous and flight centered technology requires unique planning, strategy and infrastructure development for commercial entities and communities seeking to capitalize on future industry growth. Huge win for the Tulsa Region and Autonomy!! We are excited to participate in the Secure Autonomy and Feedback Evaluation Testbed (SAFE-T) component. Tulsa is thriving as a #TechHub. Today, the Biden administration and the #EDA awarded the Tulsa Hub for Equitable and Trustworthy Autonomy (#THETA) approx. $51 million to fund projects that will ultimately create up to 56,000 new #goodjobs in the greater Tulsa region. This award will make Tulsa the global capital to develop, test, manufacture and deploy autonomous technologies. THETA projects will increase the capacity of the Tulsa region’s manufacturers to reshore critical supply chains, create globally-unique testing environments, expand the region’s talent pool, increase applied research in autonomous technologies, accelerate local startup creation and create an artificial intelligence center of excellence in Greenwood.
