Let's step inside this luxury custom build with Digs customer, Shannon Ponciano. Designing and building homes at this scale isn't just about beautiful finishes and big ideas—it's about precise coordination and crystal-clear communication. And let's face it, that can get chaotic. Before Digs? Critical information was scattered everywhere - multiple file storage platforms, endless texts & emails, and multiple versions of PDFs or updated floorplans. The same frustrating questions kept coming up: "Can you resend those specs?" "Wait, what version is this?" "Where was that sink info again?" 🤯 Now, with Digs, everything lives in one streamlined space: 🛠️ Vendors upload notes and drawings to their own, dedicated layers. 💬 Teams collaborate and communicate seamlessly right within the platform. 🔎 AskDigs AI instantly answers questions like, "What's the faucet spec?" 💡 No more hunting for files, waiting on replies or second-guessing. From the striking backlit stone in the party room to the custom brass-lined fireplace, every detail, decision, and measurement stays documented and instantly accessible. The project isn't wrapped yet, but knowing it’s perfectly organized and ready for handoff? Now that's how a job well done feels. Tariffs are creating a tumultuous landscape for the built environment. In an industry already facing high material and labor costs, new tariffs on construction materials are adding yet another layer of expense. With tariffs increasing the price of steel, lumber, and other critical supplies, developers are being forced to either absorb the costs or pass them on to customers in a time when costs are already on the rise. This puts immense pressure on profit margins and can lead to project slowdowns or even cancellations. But instead of simply accepting these rising costs, construction companies can turn to smart software solutions that reduce inefficiencies, eliminate costly delays, and optimize workflows. Here are three startups that are helping construction professionals cut costs and stay competitive: Digs - Clean Planning and Doc Management Digs streamline construction project management by keeping all relevant documents, files and designs in one clear, easy to use location, significantly reducing costs by minimizing errors. Its centralized platform enhances efficiency through seamless coordination, simplified workflows, and improved communication, enabling faster project completion. PermitFlow – Simplify and Accelerate Permit Approvals PermitFlow streamlines the often cumbersome permitting process by automating application preparation, submission, and tracking. By reducing manual effort and minimizing errors, builders can secure approvals faster and avoid costly rework. Fordje – Eliminate Code-Related Delays Navigating ever-changing city codes, and resulting permit and inspection issues, is one of the biggest headaches for builders. Fordje streamlines this process by transforming thousands of pages of local and state codes into a searchable, easy-to-use platform. This eliminates wasted time spent deciphering regulations and reduces re-submittals, which cost builders both time and money. With Fordje, developers can research zoning and compliance in minutes, not hours, keeping projects on track and under budget. Bonus: when used in tandem with PermitFlow, builders can ensure that all necessary documentation is accurate and complete before submission, reducing the likelihood of costly delays. Are you leveraging technology to cut costs in your projects? Let’s discuss in the comments! #contech #proptech #construction

What a great few days at the NAHB International Builders' Show in Las Vegas! The industry is alive and well with so many great things happening. Some of the Front Light Building Company team attended and we are excited to share the energy and findings related to our custom home division. We also had very productive meetings for Lanthorne Homes as it relates to the semi-production side of our business. I am extremely excited to share in the coming months the success of our efforts relating to the incredible industry partners that will join Lanthorne Homes. The hard work with our partner Builders FirstSource is coming to life and we have some exciting things on the horizon that will have industry wide reach. We are continuing to drive change in the industry and the next phase of our business is going to be something to watch as we start our project at Olde Eight . Lastly, I can’t help but thank Digs and Ryan Fink for their partnership to drive our warranty and aftercare experience utilizing AI/technology. The fireside chat with mikeroweWORKS - mikeroweWORKS Foundation along with some fellow builders was rewarding and I’m excited to see the work being done to grow the future labor force for the industry. Thanks to our team that traveled to work and experience the event and a shoutout to Jason Green and Max Green for the cameo appearance! Let’s all keep driving and not be complacent with the norm…I’m excited for some big things ahead as it relates to our company and partners. #newconstruction #innovation #construction #SouthCarolina #newdevelopment #newhomes Tom Grieve Judalys Perez Kristina Riley Dean Domas Cassandra Eschenbach, MBA Justin P.
